Actress Warina Hussain, best known for starring in the film Loveyatri, has officially changed her name. On Wednesday (August 6), she shared a note on Instagram to announce her decision. It is also to be noted that she returned to social media after nearly eight months.

“I’ve officially changed my name to Hira Warina – a decision rooted in numerology and guided by spirit. New chapter. Same essence. Just more aligned than ever,” her note read.

“To those who’ve stayed close, your love means more than you know,” the actress further wrote.

The caption of her post read, “But always, Yours truly, Alien.”

Soon after she shared the post, her fans wished her luck for her new journey. “New name new beginning all the best,” a user commented.

Another wrote, “Touchwood for everything this new name brings.”

Before making her name change announcement, Warina took to her Instagram story and wrote, “Aaj mera naamkaran ho raha hai… and no, I’m not even joking.”

On Monday, the actress shared a selfie after making a comeback on Instagram and wrote, “Long time no see.”

Born in Kabul in 1999 to an Afghan mother and Iraqi father, Warina spent her early years between Afghanistan and the USA before relocating to India in her teens and pursuing a degree in Performing Arts at the New York Film Academy.

Her big break came in 2018 when superstar Salman Khan launched her opposite Aayush Sharma in the Navratri‑themed romantic drama Loveyatri. Although the film earned mixed reviews, Warina’s grace and screen presence were appreciated, especially in the chart‑topping ‘Chogada’ song sequence.

She then starred alongside Salman in the song ‘Munna Badnaam Hua’ from Dabangg 3. In December 2018, she featured in rapper Badshah’s viral music video ‘She Move It Like’.

By 2021, Warina stepped back from social media, citing the need for peace of mind, though her team continued updates on work.
