Actress Lakshmi Manchu walked the ramp at a special event in Hyderabad on Saturday evening, held as part of her annual fundraising fashion show Teach For Change, an NGO dedicated to supporting education for underprivileged children. At the event, Lakshmi’s brother Manchu Manoj surprised her with an unexpected appearance, leaving her teary-eyed during the emotional reunion amid their family feud.
In a viral video, Manoj could be seen sneaking up behind Lakshmi as she faced the ramp and went in for a hug. The moment she turned around and noticed her brother, she immediately sat down and broke into tears. Later, Manchu Manoj’s wife, Mounika Bhuma Manchu, walked up to Lakshmi and consoled her.

When asked why Lakshmi got emotional, Manoj told Telugu 360, “We haven’t met in a while. She felt bad that I turned up late.”
This comes just days after Manchu Manoj staged a dharna outside his father, veteran actor Mohan Babu’s Jalpally residence. Reportedly, he was denied entry into the house, which is when him he decided to protest right outside the gate.
On Tuesday, Manoj even approached the police, accusing his brother Vishnu Manchu of vandalising his house and stealing his car, when he was in Rajasthan to celebrate his daughter’s birthday.
Manoj Manchu has been at loggerheads with his father Mohan Babu and other family members for several months now due to an ongoing property dispute. Lakshmi Manchu, however, has publicly stayed away from the controversy.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Lakshmi was last seen in the Disney+ Hotstar web series, Yakshini.
She will be seen next in the Telugu film Adiparvam.
