Bhopal: Kajlikheda Police Station Opening Likely Delayed Due to Shortage Of Cops & Resources | Representative Image

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Lack of adequate police force may delay establishment of the new police station in Kajlikheda. The new police station of Kajlikheda is among the list of eight new police stations in the state that have been approved by the state government in its order dated March 11, 2025.

With expanding boundaries of the city, need for new police station was felt and a proposal was sent to the government for approval. The new police station will come up after dividing the jurisdiction of Kolar police station, which has number of colonies on the outskirts under its limits.

With large area under its jurisdiction, need to have another police station was felt for better policing, crime control and maintaining law and order.

However, despite receiving government’s approval, police officials are still to plan the setting up of Kajlikheda police station. “New police station needs adequate police personnel.

Moreover, there will be need for technical experts, computer systems and other resources. Much of the police force is deployed at police stations and VIP duties.

In such a situation, additional force is required for the new police station, which we don’t have,” a police official said. It is worth mentioning that about 5,500 police personnel are deployed at police stations, outsposts, VIP duties and Reserve Police Lines under police commissionerate system.
