Social media influencer and actress Jannat Zubair has unfollowed her rumoured boyfriend, Faisal Shaikh aka Mr Faisu, on Instagram, adding fuel to ongoing speculations about their relationship. This unexpected move comes amid fresh marriage rumours surrounding the duo, even though they have repeatedly maintained that they are ‘just friends’.
Jannat only follows 68 accounts on Instagram and Faisal’s official handle is not amongst them. However, it may be mentioned that Mr Faisu continues to follow Jannat.
Jannat is one of the most popular content creators. She has a massive fan following of 49.6 million on Instagram. It is not known why she unfollowed Faisu.
Neither Jannat nor Faisal have officially commented on the unfollowing incident yet.
The buzz around Jannat and Faisal’s alleged relationship escalated after a recent episode of Celebrity MasterChef India, where Faisal is a contestant. Host Farah Khan playfully hinted at Faisal’s possible marriage to Jannat, leaving him visibly flustered.
While praising Faisal’s cooking skills, Farah remarked that his mother would now be asking him for recipes. To this, Faisal jokingly responded, “Yeh show ke baad toh meri pakka shaadi ho jaayegi.” Seizing the moment, Farah teasingly replied, “Main toh kara ke hi rahungi teri shaadi. Jannat ki sair toh karaungi main,” leaving Faisal blushing.
Despite the constant speculation, Faisal has denied any romantic involvement with Jannat. In an earlier interview with ETimes, he addressed the rumours, saying, “We have been friends for years and continue to be very good friends. We have done many projects together and will do many more. Logo ko aisa bohot lagta hai, par aisa kuchh bhi nahi hai. Zaroori nahi jo onscreen chemistry hai woh offscreen bhi ho. Offscreen, we are great friends. I am single.”
Mr Faisu gaimed fame through his viral TikTok videos. In 2023, he showcased his adventurous side by participating in Khatron Ke Khiladi 12, where he emerged as the first runner-up. Later, he participated in the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10.
Jannat and Faisal were seen together in Laughter Chefs, as well as in the latest season of Splitsvilla as special guests.
