Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Ahead of the Global Investors’ Summit in Bhopal on February 24 and 25, an ‘Indore Dialogue’ was organized at the Residency here on Thursday, in which the investment potential of the Indore division was showcased before industrialists and public representatives. The spotlight was on the favourable environment, better facilities and resources available for investment in the division.

In the dialogue, industrialists were called upon to attend the GIS in large numbers and invest as much as possible. Water resources minister Tulsiram Silawat, Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava, MLAs Ramesh Mendola, Usha Thakur, Madhu Verma and Golu Shukla, collector Asheesh Singh, Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) commissioner Shivam Verma, executive director of Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) Rajesh Rathod, Indore Development Authority (IDA) CEO RP Ahirwar and officials of various industrial organizations were present.

Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava said that the GIS was a good effort to promote industrial investment. He said in keeping with the times, there was a need to promote IT and AI and added that a separate summit could also be organized for this.

He said that the system of consultants and single windows could be made more effective to give all kinds of guidance to the investors. Collector Asheesh Singh told the industrialists that there were immense possibilities for investment. He also gave information regarding the Regional Development and Investment Plan (Metropolitan Area) and sought suggestions.

He said that this scheme was being prepared as per the intention of chief minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. The chief minister’s idea was to prepare a well-organized and comprehensive development plan by combining Indore and Ujjain divisions. In the programme, detailed information was given about various economic parameters in Madhya Pradesh, road and air connectivity, logistics hub, proposed corridors, Madhya Pradesh industrial ecosystem, achievements of the past one year, industrial scenario of Indore division, facilities and resources available in the division, industrial policies, proposed policies and work being done to promote industrial investment in the division. Along with this, detailed information was also given about the GIS to be held in Bhopal on February 24 and 25. On this occasion, the IMC officials shared information about the proposed traffic plan of Madhumilan Square.
