Pakistan continues to raise the Kashmir issue.

India Pakistan relations: Pakistan continues to raise the issue of Jammu and Kashmir at the international level. On various platforms of the United Nations, Pakistan brings up this issue every time and discusses it with countries like Turkey, Iran, and Malaysia. Now, India has started efforts to counter this lobbying.

For about a week, Abdol Hossein Khosrow Panah, the Secretary of Iran’s Supreme Council for Cultural Revolution, stayed in India. During this time, he participated in several events and met with representatives of the Indian government. This visit is being seen as an attempt by the Indian government to change Iran’s stance on the Kashmir issue.

Abdol Hossein Khosrow is considered close to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei. Khamenei gave an uncomfortable statement to India last year, saying that the condition of Muslims in Kashmir is not good. Now the stay of a leader close to him in India for a week is a sign of a larger strategy. Sources say that through Abdol Hossein, India wants to send a message about Jammu and Kashmir to the top leader of Iran.

Abdol Hossein was the best medium to convey a message to the Iranian Supreme Leader. In such a situation, his one-week visit matters. If Iran adopts a neutral stance on the issue of Jammu and Kashmir and reduces the tilt towards Pakistan, then it will be a big success.

Last year, Khamenei expressed concern about the condition of Muslims in Kashmir. Prior to that, Turkey and Malaysia had raised this issue several times on the United Nations platform. In this context, the statement from the top leader of a friendly country like Iran was surprising. It is believed that the government decided to convey a message to Khamenei to avoid that situation.
