COVID-19 Update: India Crosses 600 Mark; 324 Fresh Cases & 3 Deaths Recorded In Past 24 Hours | GPlus
New Delhi: India’s active Covid-19 case total rose to 6,815, with 324 new cases recorded in the last 24 hours, according to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare published on Tuesday. Three deaths were also observed in that same period.
Deaths were reported from Kerala, Jharkhand, and Delhi. Among the deceased was a 44-year-old man who had a history of hypertension and hypothyroidism. The other two victims were elderly individuals who had existing respiratory and long-term health problems.
Active cases and recoveries across various states/UTs are reported as follows: Andhra Pradesh has 86 active cases with 54 recovered. Arunachal Pradesh remains static with no active cases. Assam has 3 active and 11 recovered. Bihar reports 48 active and 21 recovered. Chandigarh has 2 active and 1 recovered. Chhattisgarh shows 44 active and 19 recovered.
Delhi reports significant figures with 691 active and 1232 recovered, alongside 8 deaths. Goa has 5 active and 15 recovered. Gujarat continues to see high activity with 1109 cases and 610 recoveries. Other states like Haryana (108 active, 102 recovered) and Karnataka (559 active, 652 recovered) show mixed trends. The total count across all states is 6815 active cases, 7644 recoveries, and 68 deaths attributed mainly to comorbidities in various patients.
Death Count
Detailed death causes include respiratory issues, hypertension, and diabetes complications. COVID-19 data from West Bengal is awaited. The total count of death has reached 68 as of today, June 11.
