Issuing a five-day forecast, the IMD stated that Mumbai may only see sporadic spells of light rainfall till October 8. According to the reports, the warning is for the districts of Mumbai, Thane, Palghar, Raigad, Ratnagiri, and Sindhudurg. Changes on the sea surface are expected along the northern Maharashtra coast until October 5. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea. District administrations have been instructed to activate their disaster management systems, prepare evacuation plans for citizens in coastal and low-lying areas, issue public advisories, and advise against sea travel.
