The Enumeration Form is available on the Election Commission’s website.
New Delhi: As part of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process in nine states and three union territories, Block Level Officers (BLOs) are going door-to-door to distribute Enumeration Forms. After voters complete the forms, they are collected, digitised, and submitted. However, in many areas, there are complaints that BLOs are not visiting homes. In this situation, you can submit the Enumeration Form yourself online. The process is simple.
The Enumeration Form is available on the Election Commission’s website, and the entire digital process is being directly handled by the Election Commission (ECI). Voters don’t need to download or upload any documents to submit the form.
Submit the form on the ECI website or the ECINET app
Voters can submit the form by simply accessing a dedicated link on the ECI or the respective state CEO’s website, or by filling in their details and submitting using the ECINET app.
The digital submission process is completely user-friendly and designed to ensure hassle-free submission.
Voters can fill out the form by visiting the Services tab of the Voters’ Portal. A dedicated option for the SIR enumeration form is clearly displayed here. By selecting this option, voters can submit their details online and submit their names to the electoral roll without any physical paperwork.
How to fill out the SIR form online?
To fill the enumeration form, voters must log in to the Voters’ Service Portal, voters.eci.gov.in. After logging in to the Voters’ Service Portal, they must click on the “Fill Enumeration Form” option.
After the voter selects their state and enters their EPIC (2025) number, the portal automatically retrieves the voter’s details. The process ends when an OTP is received on the registered mobile number.
The voter has three options to choose from: whether their name was on the previous SIR roll, whether their parents’ names were, or whether neither name was on the roll. Depending on this option, the portal either displays the voter’s previous SIR information or asks for the required data for verification.
The EPIC card must be linked to the mobile number
After these checks are complete, the online system generates a preview of the completed enumeration form, allowing voters to verify their entries. The final step is Aadhaar verification, after which a statement confirming the correctness of the data provided is provided.
The Election Commission has stated that only voters can fill out the SIR form online for themselves, as it requires an Aadhaar-based e-signature. A voter cannot fill out the form for someone else.
According to the Election Commission, if you are submitting the form online, your mobile number linked to your EPIC must be active for OTP verification, and the name on the EPIC (2025) must exactly match the Aadhaar e-Sign tool. According to the Election Commission, if a voter’s mobile number is not linked to the EPIC, it must be updated by submitting Form 8. This process will be completed once the mobile number is linked to the EPIC card.
