Zynga has officially announced that Star Wars: Hunters, the free-to-play arena shooter, will be shutting down on October 1, 2025. The game’s final content update is set to launch on April 15, bringing one last set of additions before the servers go offline.

Star Wars: Hunters originally launched on June 4, 2024, for Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android, with a PC Early Access release following on January 27, 2025. Despite its unique take on team-based combat set in the Star Wars universe, the game is now coming to an end after just over a year of service.

In an official statement, Zynga thanked the community for their support and acknowledged that shutting down the game was a difficult decision. However, they assured players that updates and support would continue until the final shutdown.

Important Dates and Final Update Details

  • March 25, 2025 – Season 5 will be extended by three weeks. Events and shop bundles will be re-run, and the Ranked Season will also be extended, giving players more time to reach the top Kyber 1 rank.
  • April 15, 2025 – The final content update will go live. All in-game purchases will be disabled, and a new Support Hunter, Tuya, will be introduced as a free playable character. This update will also bring additional in-game content, a final Ranked Mode leaderboard, and a full rotation of battlefields and game modes.
  • October 1, 2025 – The online servers will officially shut down, and the game will no longer be playable.

For now, players can enjoy the remaining months of Star Wars: Hunters before the servers go offline for good.
