How to book Full Tariff Rate service of Indian Railways?

The FTR service of Indian Railways can be booked in two ways online or at the station. For online booking of Full Tariff Rate at Indian Railways, passengers must first visit ftr.irctc.co.in, select the booking type, route and travel details. After registration at the website, a reference number and the required registration amount are issued. Thereafter, this amount must be paid within six days, or the reference number gets cancelled.

Offline booking of Full Tariff Rate at Indian Railways

For station booking, a written application has to be submitted to the Chief Booking Supervisor or Station Master at the starting station. After entering the details in the system, passengers receive a slip with the reference number and amount. The payment is then deposited at the UTS counter, thereby confirming the booking.

Under the FTR service, you can book up to 10 coaches, while a full train booking can include up to 24 coaches with two mandatory SLR coaches. Moreover, bookings can be made up to 6 months in advance and not later than 30 days before the journey.

Full Tariff Rate at Indian Railways: What are the charges?

The registration fee for Full Tariff Rate at Indian Railways is Rs 50,000 per coach for up to seven days. Moreover, for full train booking, the minimum amount is Rs 9 lakh, and extra charges apply for more coaches or longer travel.
