HONOR has officially introduced the HONOR Magic V6 at Mobile World Congress 2026. The company had already teased the launch, and now the foldable is finally official with top-tier specifications and several bold claims. The company positions the Magic V6 as a foldable that does not compromise on design, battery, or performance.
The HONOR Magic V6 measures just 8.75mm in thickness. HONOR says this makes it the slimmest foldable phone currently available in the market. Achieving such slimness in a book-style foldable is not easy with a large battery.
The device houses a 6660mAh battery, which HONOR claims is the largest battery in a foldable smartphone. It uses the company’s Silicon carbon battery technology and offers an energy density of 921Wh per liter. This allows the phone to maintain a slim body while still offering long battery life.
The device also promises a durable hinge. The hinge is rated for 500,000 folds and has received SGS high-quality durable folding certification. HONOR says the inner display crease is minimal and almost imperceptible during daily use.
The hinge uses HONOR Super Steel rated at 2800MPa for extra strength. The inner screen is protected by reinforced Ultra Thin Glass, which is said to be 44 percent stronger. On the outside, the device features an HONOR Anti-scratch NanoCrystal Shield. It has also earned a 5-star SGS drop resistance and screen anti-impact rating.
The Magic V6 comes with both IP68 and IP69 ratings. This means it offers strong protection against dust and even high-pressure water.
The HONOR Magic V6 features two high-quality AMOLED displays with LTPO 2.0 technology and a dynamic refresh rate from 1Hz to 120Hz. The external cover display measures 6.52 inches with a resolution of 2420 x 1080 pixels and 406 PPI pixel density. It can reach up to 6000 nits of peak brightness in HDR mode.
When unfolded, the device reveals a large 7.95-inch main display with a resolution of 2352 x 2172 pixels and 403 PPI pixel density. This screen can reach up to 5000 nits of peak HDR brightness, making it easy to use even under direct sunlight.
HONOR Magic V6 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 3nm mobile platform. It is the first foldable phone to feature this chipset. The processor is paired with the Adreno 840 GPU and promises flagship-level performance for gaming, multitasking, and productivity.
The Magic V6 features a 64MP telephoto camera with a 1 by 2 inch sensor. It is the highest megapixel telephoto lens in a foldable phone and supports the CIPA 6.5 standard optical image stabilization.
The device also includes a 50MP main camera and a 50MP ultra-wide camera. HONOR introduced its new AiMAGE Color Engine, which uses AI-based white balance adjustment to deliver more accurate and natural colors. During the presentation, HONOR even compared its color calibration with the iPhone 17 Pro Max. For video, the phone supports AI Cinema Color to enhance dynamic range and overall video quality.
HONOR introduced Agentic AI features for the phone. These include Cross App Action, an AI Meeting Agent, and smart AI Suggestions to help automate tasks.
Interestingly, HONOR is also highlighting Apple connectivity features. The Magic V6 is designed to work smoothly with devices such as MacBooks, iPads, and AirPods, making it appealing for users who work across different ecosystems.
Colors and Availability
The HONOR Magic V6 comes in Red, Gold, White, and Black color options. HONOR said the device will be available in select markets in the second half of the year. Pricing and configuration details will be announced region wise at a later date.
