Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan now has two new members in the family. Daughters-in-law or daughters, like how he usually addresses them, Amanat Bansal and Ridhi Jain are the newest additions in the big political family of Madhya Pradesh.
Both the weddings were lavish, undoubtedly. VVIPs, Union Ministers and other politicians attended the events and blessed the young couples.
Elder son Kartikey Singh Chouhan married Amanat Bansal– daughter of Anupam Bansal, executive director of Liberty Shoes Pvt. Ltd. The duo tied the knot in a grand ceremony at Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur on March 6, 2025.
Similarly, younger son Kunal Singh Chouhan married Ridhi Jain– granddaughter of Bhopal’s reputed doctor, Inder Mal Jain, and daughter of Sandeep Jain. The young couple took the nuptial vows on February 14 at Hotel Taj Lakeview in Bhopal.
There have been quite some murmurs around as to why the younger son– Kunal, got married 20 days before his elder brother, Kartikey. Usually, in India, there is a custom to marry the elder siblings first; however, the Union Minister decided otherwise.
According to our close sources, the Chouhan family decided to marry Kunal first due to astrological reasons. The wedding ‘muhurat’ (auspicious time) was finalised on the basis of Kunal and Ridhi’s horoscopes, which favoured February for the couple. While March sent more positive vibes for Kartikey and Amanat. Thus, the Chouhan and Jain families scheduled the younger son’s wedding first.
