New Delhi: Good news for the people residing in Pune, the Indian Railways has announced the launch of four new Vande Bharat Express trains from Pune. According to the reports, the new trains will connect the city to Shegaon, Vadodara, Secunderabad, and Belagavi. These trains will cut travel time significantly and offer passengers enhanced comfort and convenience. It is important to note that currently, Pune city has two operational Vande Bharat Express trains running on the Pune-Kolhapur and Pune-Hubballi routes.

With these four new services, the total number of Vande Bharat trains from Pune will rise to six.

Here are some of the key details:

  • Pune–Vadodara Vande Bharat: Possible halts at Lonavala, Panvel, Vapi, and Surat. Expected to reduce travel time from 9 hours to 6-7 hours.
  • Pune–Shegaon Vande Bharat: Likely stops include Daund, Ahmednagar, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, and Jalna.
  • Pune–Secunderabad Vande Bharat: The train will likely to stop at Daund, Solapur, and Gulbarga, saving 2-3 hours of travel time.
  • Pune–Belagavi Vande Bharat: Likely halts at Satara, Sangli, and Miraj.
  • Tickets are expected to cost between Rs 1,500 and Rs 2,000.

In other news, the Indian Railways is also considering launching a Pune–Nagpur Vande Bharat Sleeper train, which will further boost connectivity. These new services aim to ease travel for passengers, promote tourism in connected regions, and give a fresh push to development around Pune.
