These new Vande Bharat trains promise faster, more comfortable travel with modern amenities like automatic doors, reclining seats, GPS systems, and Wi-Fi connectivity.

Starting August 10, 2025, Indian Railways will launch three new Vande Bharat trains. If you’re planning to travel on these routes you check the train timings, dates, and ticket prices in advance.

To make rail travel in India faster and comfortable, the new Vande Bharat trains will be flagged off virtually by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 10. These trains will operate on three different routes:

  1. Amritsar to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra
  2. Bengaluru to Belagavi
  3. Pune to Ajni (Nagpur)

With this launch, the total number of Vande Bharat trains in the country will rise from 147 to 150.

1. Amritsar – Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Route

  • This train will operate six days a week (except Tuesdays).
  • Train No. 26406 will depart from Katra at 6:40 AM and reach Amritsar at 12:20 PM.
  • Stops: Jammu, Pathankot Cantt, Jalandhar City, and Beas.
  • On the return journey, Train No. 26405 will leave Amritsar at 4:25 PM and reach Katra by 10:00 PM.
  • This train will benefit pilgrims traveling to Vaishno Devi  with its faster and comfortable journey.

2. Bengaluru – Belagavi Route

  • This train will also run six days a week.
  • It will depart Belagavi at 5:20 AM and arrive in Bengaluru by 1:50 PM.
  • The return leg will start from Bengaluru at 2:20 PM and reach Belagavi at 10:40 PM.
  • While the final timetable is yet to be confirmed, this route is expected to benefit business travelers and IT professionals due to its connectivity between the two cities.
  • Ticket prices have not been officially announced yet.

3. Pune – Ajni (Nagpur) Route

  • This train will run three days a week.
  • Covering over 850 kilometers, it will complete the journey in under 12 hours.
  • The train will start from Ajni railway station and terminate at Hadapsar station in Pune.
  • This will improve travel time and convenience between Pune and Nagpur.
