Fort Solis, the atmospheric sci-fi thriller set on a remote Martian mining base, is finally making its way to Xbox Series consoles. Publishers Feardemic and Dear Villagers, along with developers Fallen Leaf and Black Drakkar Games, have confirmed that the game will be available on the Microsoft Store starting December 19. Until now, Fort Solis was playable only on PlayStation 5 and PC, where it first launched in August 2023.
The game follows engineer Jack Leary as he responds to an emergency alert from Fort Solis, a lonely outpost deep on Mars. What begins as a routine check quickly turns into a tense night of unanswered questions, abandoned rooms, and a growing sense that something has gone very wrong. With a major storm closing in, Jack’s chances of getting out shrink as the truth about the missing crew slowly unfolds.
Fort Solis is designed as a grounded sci-fi experience with a strong focus on storytelling. The narrative is pieced together through audio and video logs, giving players a clear look at the events leading up to the disaster. The game also stands out for its high-fidelity visuals and performance capture, which give the characters a more lifelike presence.
The cast includes well-known names such as Roger Clark, Troy Baker, and Julia Brown, whose performances add weight to the emotional moments throughout the story. The game is split into four chapters, and players can either finish it in one intense session or take it one chapter at a time, much like a limited-series drama.
Fort Solis will be available digitally, and the developers have not yet announced any changes or enhancements specific to the Xbox release.
