Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The summer schedule of flights will come into effect from Sunday and remain effective for the next 6 months. As per the new schedule, the number of flights from the city will cross the figure of 100. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) declared the summer schedule of flights on Friday. It will be implemented from March 30.

In the schedule, the number of flights from Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport of the city will cross the mark of 100 per day. Official sources of the airport informed that the DGCA released a new schedule of flights on Friday, wherein the movement of more than 80 flights was mentioned, which would be operated with a slight change of time or day. It can be seen as repeat numbers.

Despite this, sources claimed that more than 100 flights would be added to the city’s account. The flight to Bhubaneswar, which started recently, has also been continued. Besides, IndiGo has announced a new flight for Goa’s Manohar Parrikar Airport.

It may be pointed out that currently the city has direct air connectivity with 26 cities. Flights to all cities are continuing as before in the summer schedule, while some new cities have been added, including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune, Hyderabad, Raipur, Nagpur, Jodhpur, Jaipur, Udaipur, Pune, Ahmedabad, Jabalpur, Bhubaneswar, Kolkata, Chennai, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Jammu, Gondia, Goa (Manohar Parrikar Airport), Goa (Dabolim Airport), Jodhpur, Shirdi, Nashik and Sharjah. Most of the flights are for Delhi. IndiGo is the lead flight operator from the city followed by the Air India Express.
