Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The first victim of sexual exploitation by Yaseen and his uncle Shahwar approached police and lodged a complaint against the duo at woman police station on Tuesday. The case has been registered under POCSO Act as the victim was minor at the time of the exploitation, police officials said.
Yaseen and Shahwar were arrested for running a high profile drugs and firearm syndicate by crime branch on July 22.
Police have found multiple obscene videos of girls in Yaseen’s mobile phone who were introduced to MD drugs and were subjected to sexual exploitation by Yaseen, Shahwar and other members of their gang. Some of the victims have been identified by the police and were approached after the arrest of the accused.
In her complaint given to police, the victim now aged 23, said she met Shahwar at a hookah lounge in 2018 when she was less than 18 years of age. Shahwar befriended her on pretext of helping her with money and other pretexts. Shahwar then took her to a flat in Punjabi Bagh area and raped her while shooting her obscene videos.
After sexually exploiting the girl multiple times, Shahwar started pressurising her to make physical relations with his nephew Yaseen. The victim further informed that Yaseen and Shahwar issued life threats to her when she refused and warned to approach police. The victim informed police that she was scared to file a complaint as the accused had criminal background. However, she now approached the police after their arrest.
Shraddha Tiwari, DCP, headquarters, said an FIR had been registered against Shahwar under POCSO Act while Yaseen has been booked for issuing threats to the victim.
