A fire broke out early Wednesday morning on the 7th floor of a commercial building in Santacruz East, damaging electric wiring, office furniture, and documents. The Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB) brought the blaze under control, and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation, according to fire officials.

A minor fire (Level-1) broke out at 6 am on Wednesday on the 7th floor of the Windsor building, a ground-plus-eight-storey commercial complex in Santacruz East. The blaze originated in the office of Prime RMC Company, impacting an estimated area of 4,000 to 5,000 sq. ft.

According to officials from the MFB, “The fire was confined to electric wiring, installations, server panels, batteries, split AC units, computers, laptops, inverter systems, office furniture, important documents, false ceilings, glass door frames, and paintwork. The entire floor was heavily smoke-logged.”

Firefighting teams worked through the day, and the blaze was fully extinguished by around 10 pm. Fortunately, as the incident occurred early in the morning when the office was unoccupied, no injuries were reported. The exact cause of the fire is currently under investigation, said an official.
