Narmadapuram (Madhya Pradesh): Collector Sonia Meena has set up a team to raise awareness among the masses in Tehsils about the importance of wearing helmets.
The team launched a special drive against the bikers who did not wear helmets. A team led by regional transport officer Rinku Sharma and DSP (traffic) Santosh Mishra acted against those bikers who did not wear helmets and the petrol pump at Satrasta.
The team imposed a fine of Rs 17,600 on 52 bikers for not wearing helmets. The two-wheeler buyers are getting free helmets from the sellers. The helmets are also being distributed through corporate social responsibility (CSR).
SP advises cops to wear helmets, seatbelts
Superintendent of Police Gurkaran Singh has launched a campaign, “Pahele Khud Sudhrenge phit Dusron ko Sudharenge (First we will improve ourselves and then we will improve others).” As part of the campaign, Singh advised the policemen and traffic cops to wear helmets at the time of riding two-wheelers and seatbelts at the time of driving cars.
The policemen have been directed to follow the traffic rules; else, action will be taken against them.

Licence of 56 vehicles owners suspended
RTO Manish Tripathi has suspended the licence of 56 vehicle owners for violating traffic rules in MP’s Rewa. These vehicle owners jumped the traffic signal, did stunts on bikes, and drove vehicles in a drunken state. Tripathi said stern would be taken against the violators of traffic rul
