New Delhi: An American CEO has now joined the ongoing controversy over the H-1B visa in the US, calling for its abolition. He calls for Indians to be barred from employment in the USA. He also advocates for American jobs to be given to local workers. James Fischbach, CEO of investment firm Azoria, has criticised the H-1B visa, believing it allows foreign workers to steal American jobs.
James Fischbach previously made headlines in June when he quit his job at DOGE after its head, Elon Musk, criticised President Donald Trump. He said Musk should apologise to the President for making baseless accusations and taunts against him. Fischbach has long criticised the H-1B visa programme. Ever since President Trump raised the H-1B visa fee to $100,000, James Fischbach has been continuously criticising it in interviews.

The American CEO reprimands all companies that hire Indians. He says that American companies claim they don’t have Americans to fill jobs and then use H-1B visas. Fishback said that first and foremost, Indians must be stopped from being hired and replaced with locals.
In a post on X, he said, “The H-1B scam is hurting Americans, especially in Florida. If companies here want to hire skilled workers, they need to stop bringing Indians here. They should hire graduate students from universities like FSU, UF, FAU, and UCF. These students are excellent and love their state.”

Voluntarily criticising American companies, Fishback said in another post, “So-called American companies say they have no choice but to use the H-1B visa programme because they can’t find Americans for these jobs.” He further claimed that companies aren’t even making an effort to hire American workers.
He said, “Companies hide job postings in newspapers to claim no one applied. Then they hire foreign workers, depriving a qualified American of his job, salary, and respect. This is shameful. It’s time to completely eliminate the H-1B.”
Fishback said that Americans are more qualified than workers from India. Indians and Chinese people think they are better, but then they are exploited. So I have no sympathy for them, because they treat us like slaves in our own country.
