The Epic Games Store is continuing its holiday free game campaign, and there are still many giveaways left. Today’s mystery free game has been revealed as Sorry We’re Closed, a recently released indie title. PC gamers can claim the game for free until December 22.
Sorry We’re Closed is developed by à la mode games, a small two-person studio. This is the team’s first game, and it launched in late 2024. The game is a story-focused survival horror experience that mixes dark themes with a unique visual style. It explores the clash between demons and angels in a strange and unsettling world.
The game takes inspiration from classic horror titles. It uses fixed camera angles for exploration and switches to arcade-style first-person shooting during combat sections. This combination gives the game an old-school feel while still offering modern storytelling.
Players follow the story of Michelle, the main character, who is trying to break a curse placed on her by an archdemon. As time slowly runs out, she meets unusual characters across London, each with their own secrets and problems. Michelle also has a special ability called the Third Eye, which lets her see between worlds. This power helps uncover hidden paths, solve puzzles, and understand the deeper story.
Sorry We’re Closed is free to claim on the Epic Games Store for the next 24 hours. Epic has not revealed what the next free game will be. The next mystery title will unlock on December 22 at 8 AM PT or 11 AM ET.
