Pakistan attacks again: Drones intercepted, multiple explosion heard in Pokhran; Rajasthan border on red alert, blackout enforced

Tensions flared once again as Pakistani drones were spotted and intercepted in several areas, including Jammu, Samba, Pathankot, Firozpur, Pokhran, and Hoshiarpur. In the midst of a power blackout in Samba, people reported seeing red streaks in the sky followed by loud explosions as Indian air defence systems shot the drones down. In Poonch, heavy shelling from across the border led to more blasts being heard late into the night.

In Jaisalmer, multiple aerial threats were intercepted for a second night in a row, leading to the imposition of a red alert and widespread blackouts in several districts, causing alarm among local residents.

This fresh provocation came just a day after Pakistan reportedly launched 300 to 400 drones toward India most of which were destroyed by the Indian Army before they could do any harm.

On Thursday night, Pakistan attempted a coordinated attack using both drones and missiles, targeting multiple areas along India’s western border. However, India’s advanced air defence network including the powerful S-400 system successfully intercepted the attacks and stopped them from causing serious damage, according to defence sources.
