Rohit Sharma is known to be forgetful personal belongings but on Sunday he forgot to carry the most important thing with himself i.e Champions Trophy. The incident happened during the Champions Trophy post-match press conference the Indian captain momentarily forgot about the prestigious silverware, leading to laughter all around. The clip of him looking around for the trophy quickly spread across social media
However, a closer look at the full press conference video, tells a different story. The Team India official was carrying the trophy and had simply requested Rohit to pose for photos in front of the reporters in Dubai.
Amid the celebrations, Rohit also took the opportunity to shut down speculation about his retirement from ODIs. “I have no plans to retire from this format. Just making sure no false rumors spread in the future,” he stated firmly, putting an end to all speculation.
