Delhi-NCR Weather Update: Residents of Delhi and adjoining NCR have started using blankets at night as the temperature is decreasing continuously. Nights will get colder and mornings are expected to be covered in fog in the coming days. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), cold is expected to intensify in Delhi-NCR, with dense fog blanketing the region in the coming days. Cold is likely to intensify in Delhi-NCR, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh in the coming days.

What Did The Indian Meteorological Department Say?

According to Haryana meteorologist Dr Madan Khichad, a mild western disturbance has been detected and is expected to become active on November 21st. Due to its impact, rain is expected in NCR (Haryana) from November 26th to 28th. Following the showers, cold may intensify in the region.

What Is The Weather Forecast For Delhi?

There was no major change in Delhi’s maximum and minimum temperatures over the past 24 hours. The minimum temperature ranged from 11 to 13 degrees Celsius, and the maximum temperature hovered between 25 to 28 degrees Celsius.

The weather department has predicted dense fog in Delhi-NCR today. The weather will remain cool throughout the day. The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 24 degrees Celsius.

IMD Predicts Snowfall In The Mountains

The weather department has forecasted snowfall in the mountains along with a cold wave and severe winter, which will affect Delhi to Bihar and even Madhya Pradesh.

IMD Predicts Heavy Rain In Tamil Nadu And Kerala

As per IMD, due to the effect of the new weather system on Saturday and Sunday, it is expected that Northeastern states like – Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Nagaland, Manipur and Mizoram will witness rainfall.

Meanwhile, IMD has issued a heavy rain and thunderstorms warning for South India.

In the past 24 hours, light to moderate rain with isolated heavy spells lashed Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Tamil Nadu. Light to moderate rain witnessed in Kerala, Lakshadweep and south coastal Andhra Pradesh.

The IMD stated that light to moderate rain is expected in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Lakshadweep, Rayalaseema, and South Karnataka today.

Temperatures Dropped Below Five Degree In Himachal

Maximum temperature in Himachal Pradesh is likely to gradually drop by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius in the high and mid-hill areas of Himachal Pradesh in the next 3-4 days. The lowest minimum temperature in Himachal was reported in Kukumseri, which was -3.0 degrees Celsius. Major tourist destination – Shimla – recorded 8.6 degrees Celsius. The temperature in Sundernagar was 4.7 degrees Celsius, in Bhuntar, the temperature was at 4.6 degrees Celsius, in Kalpa at 1.8 degrees Celsius and in Dharamsala, it was 7.5 degrees Celsius.
