Weather Forecast: Delhi is witnessing warmer afternoons for the past few days. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasted maximum temperature between 26–27 degrees Celsius. A low-pressure area is expected to form over the east Equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining southeast Bay of Bengal around Sunday.

Weather Forecast: Delhi and adjoining NCR are witnessing warmer afternoons over the past few days as the winter season is gradually fading away. However, chills still dominate the early morning hours. Maximum temperature is gradually increasing and is expected to hover between 26–27 degrees Celsius. The nighttime temperature is likely to settle around 10 degrees Celsius. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has also predicted misty conditions during morning hours on Friday. The weather department has detected a low-pressure area which is likely to form and intensify over the east Equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining southeast Bay of Bengal around Sunday. A powerful subtropical westerly jet stream, with wind speeds of 130 knots at an altitude of 12.6 km above sea level, is currently active over Northeast India.

Delhi Weather

The maximum temperature is expected to hover between 26-27 degrees Celsius, while the nighttime temperature is expected to settle around 11 degrees Celsius. IMD has predicted a normal day today with a clear sky.

“No large change in minimum temperatures during the next 24 hours and a gradual rise by 2-3°C thereafter. Consequently, minimum temperatures are likely to be normal (-1.5°C to 1.5°C) during the next 24 hours and be above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) thereafter,” the IMD said.

Western Disturbances To Impact North India

IMD has detected two fresh western disturbances which are going to affect the Western Himalayan region from February 13 and on February 16. Under the influence of these disturbances, rainfall and snowfall are expected in parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh. Light to moderate showers and snowfall to batter Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand from February 16-18. Arunachal Pradesh may also witness isolated rainfall on February 14 and 15.

Temperature

In parts of South Peninsular India, the nighttime temperature is expected to be below normal by 1.6-3 degrees Celsius. 1.6-3, while in the western Himalayan region, it is forecasted to be 1.6-3.1 degrees above normal.  In West Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Konkan, Madhya Maharashtra, and Gujarat, the temperature will be near normal.

The daytime temperatures is expected 2-4 degrees above normal in parts of northwest, central, east and northeast India.
