New Delhi: The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) has revoked the GRAP-4 curbs from the National Capital after it got brief relief from severe pollution on Wednesday evening. The AQI on Wednesday improved to the ‘poor’ category at 270.
To combat hazardous winter pollution in Delhi-NCR, the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) had implemented Stage IV of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) on December 13.
Air Quality commission’s order
“The Sub-Committee, accordingly, decides to revoke with immediate effect its orders dated 13.12.2025, for invoking actions under Stage-IV (’Severe+’ Air Quality >450) of modified schedule of GRAP,” the order by the Commission for Air Quality Management in National Capital Region and Adjoining Areas (CAQM) read.
It is important to note that the Stage 4 curbs include a ban on all construction activities as well as entry of non-essential polluting trucks into Delhi. The stage 4 regulations included mandatory shifting of school classes, except for classes 10 and 12, to hybrid mode.
It is important to note that while easing the strictest curbs, the commission clarified that Stage I, Stage II, and Stage III measures will continue to remain in force and will be implemented in line with the modified GRAP framework notified on November 21, 2025.
