Delhi Assembly Election Result 2025 Highlights: The BJP won a historic mandate in Delhi polls, returning to power in the national capital after 27 years by ending over 10 years rule of Aam Aadmi Party with several AAP leaders including former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, ex-Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, three-time MLA Somnath Bharti losing from their strongholds. The saffron party won 48 seats out of the total 70, comfortably crossing the majority mark. Whereas AAP only won 22 seats, marking a steep fall from their 2020 assembly election performance, when they won 62 out of 70 seats. The Congress, which was hoping for a revival in the national capital, failed to once again open its account. The party, which ruled Delhi for 15 years from 1998, registered a hat-trick of zero tally in assembly polls. The 2025 Delhi assembly election recorded a voter turnout of 60.54 per cent. According to Election Commission data, BJP won 45.56 per cent of the total vote share (around 43 lakh votes) in the national capital, emerging as the largest party. AAP was the second largest party by vote share, securing 43.57 per cent vote share (around 41 lakh votes).
