The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, met the Chairperson of the Tata Group, N Chandrasekaran, on Monday. The meeting’s objective was to review how the ongoing project in the state was progressing. The two talked about the development of various projects in Uttar Pradesh. The discussions were about multiple sectors, ranging from artificial intelligence (AI) to tourism and electronic vehicles (EVs). They also reviewed the progress of a project named ‘Museum of Temples’ in Ayodhya.

Meeting about different sectors

The meeting of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Tata Group Chairman N Chandrasekaran included discussions about several sectors. They both talked about information technology (IT), artificial intelligence (AI), defence manufacturing, renewable energy, tourism, electronic vehicles (EVs), and several others.

Meeting on projects in UP

CM Yogi and Chairman Chandrasekaran’s meeting was aimed at discussing the progress of several projects of the Tata Group in Uttar Pradesh. According to the statement, the Tata Group’s businessman gave the proposal of an AI city in Lucknow so that the state can become a global AI hub.

They also reviewed how the Rs. 48 crore Centre of Excellence project was advancing in Gorakhpur. They both had discussions on increasing the workforce of the Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in three prominent cities of the state: Lucknow, Noida, and Varanasi. The group aims to increase the workforce at TCS Noida and Lucknow from 16,000 to 30,000.

MoU with IIT-Kanpur

According to the statement, Tata Group has a signed MoU (memorandum of understanding) with IIT-Kanpur in which it will provide training to the youth in sectors like AI, cybersecurity, data science, 3D printing, drones and space technology.

The chairman informed that it has an MoU with the Intel company which is aimed at increasing the manufacturing units of its electronic products in Uttar Pradesh.

The group will work for the restoration of eight ponds in the area of Mathura-Vrindavan. These include Krishna Kund, Garuda Govind Kund, Nari Semri Kund, Ashtakashi Kund, Radha Kund, Shyam Kund, and Mansi Ganga Kund.
