Sagar (Madhya Pradesh): The construction work of CM Rise School building could not be completed within the set time limit. As a result, the study of students are getting affected MPBDC officials, Commissioner, Collector and MLA had inspected the building, and directed to complete the construction work within the time limit and ensure high quality. But the building is still unfinished.
The construction work of CM Rise building is being done by Madhya Pradesh Bhawan Vikas Nigam through a contractor. About 10 CM Rise school buildings are being built in Sagar district. The construction work of most of the buildings was to be completed by May 2024 but that did not happen. Thereafter, the deadline was extended first to March 2025 and then to June 2025.
The cost of construction ranges between Rs 31 crore and Rs 40 crore. The existing buildings were demolished to make way for the new ones. As the buildings are incomplete, classes are not being held regularly. With construction material lying around, students are facing problems in accessing the buildings. MPBDC DGM, RB Tiwari said that efforts are being made to complete the construction of 4 to 5 school buildings by March or April 2025. The quality of fly ash bricks being used in the construction of the school building in Gadhaula Jagir is poor.
It is being said that the quality standards are not being followed. The place for the construction of the school building being built in Bandri was given by the Forest Department through land transfer, in which the stones extracted were to be used for further action according to the Forest Department’s procedure.
