World Water Day 2025: CIDCO leads a spirited Prabhat Pheri in Navi Mumbai, urging residents to adopt sustainable water conservation practices | X – @CIDCO_Ltd

Navi Mumbai: To mark World Water Day, the Water Supply Department of CIDCO organized a Prabhat Pheri (morning rally) on Monday at 8 am to emphasize the importance of water conservation. The rally covered the route between the CIDCO Water Supply Office, Sector-1S at New Panvel, and Banthia High School, Sector-18, New Panvel.

Several senior officials from CIDCO, Panvel Municipal Corporation, and Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran participated in the event, guiding students and residents on the significance of water conservation.

Superintendent Engineer, Water Supply, CIDCO, along with B. V. Gaikwad and V. B. Patil, both Executive Engineers from the Water Supply Department of CIDCO, addressed the gathering. Deputy Engineer from Panvel Municipal Corporation, and Waydande, Deputy Engineer from Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran, also shared their insights.

Additionally, Prashant V. Chahare, Vidya, and Prafulla Devare, all Assistant Executive Engineers from CIDCO’s Water Supply Department, guided the students and residents present at the rally.

World Water Day, observed annually on March 22, aims to highlight the importance of freshwater and sustainable water management. CIDCO’s rally was a step toward spreading this awareness in the community.

“The event saw enthusiastic participation from Banthia High School students along with a Lezim troupe, adding an energetic touch to the rally. The participants raised slogans and displayed placards carrying messages about water conservation. The initiative successfully conveyed the crucial message of saving water, urging citizens to adopt responsible water usage habits for a sustainable future,” said a Cidco spokesperson.
