    Now, the folks at Android Authority have spotted a new feature inside the builds of One UI 9 code. Dubbed the Foreign Material Detection, this feature aims to prevent users from damaging their fold’s screen.

    What is the Foreign Material Detection feature?

    One of the biggest causes of damage to the inner display in foldable devices is small debris that becomes lodged between the two halves of the screen.

    The strings found in the code suggest that the wide Samsung Galaxy Fold will now warn you to check for any foreign substance that might be preventing the screen from folding shut completely. Instead of forcing the device to fold, which might damage the display, this prompt will allow users to clean the device before closing. 

    Samsung has added three new images to demonstrate the feature. As shown in the images, a wider foldable device appears alongside the standard Galaxy Fold and Flip models, confirming the introduction of a new form factor.

    Premium Lite was always positioned as the budget-friendly middle ground — cheaper than full Premium, but still ad-free for most content. The problem was that it felt weirdly hobbled.

    No background play meant your video died the second you switched apps. No downloads meant you were stuck buffering on a shaky airport Wi-Fi connection, like it’s 2012. Not exactly a great pitch.

    Still not full Premium

    YouTube says it expanded the Premium Lite pilot to more countries last year and started getting an earful from users who wanted more. So here we are.

    One thing worth noting, though, is that YouTube draws a hard line: music videos and YouTube Music content are still locked behind the full Premium subscription.

    So if you’re using YouTube as a makeshift Spotify, Lite still won’t cut it. But for everyone else, just trying to watch video essays in the background while doing dishes? This is a meaningful upgrade.

    Upcoming customization features on Google NotebookLM

    The custom banner feature will introduce a dedicated header area at the top of each notebook. Instead of the current layout, where the title is followed immediately by the source count, NotebookLM may soon separate this into a distinct header section.

    In the new design, the notebook title will appear over a banner image, making it easier to identify at a glance. As shown in the image, a “Customize” button is located on the right side of the header, allowing users to add images stored on their device or in the cloud. It will give each notebook a visual cue that matches its purpose or tone.

    However, it remains unclear whether users would be able to add their own banner images or if Google would let its Nano Banana AI generate visuals based on a notebook’s content.

    Google is also adding more context to that header. The date the notebook was created will appear just below the title, alongside the number of sources. That small detail could help users better track older notebooks or understand when a project or diary began.

    The feature is still in testing and not widely available yet. Nevertheless, if your notes or projects on NotebookLM look cluttered, this update could bring welcome clarity and a sense of order.

    Lamborghini is done with the Lanzador. The all-electric supercar the Italian automaker showed off back in 2023 — the one that was supposed to drag the brand, kicking and screaming, into the EV era — was quietly axed late last year (via The Times).

    CEO Stephan Winkelmann confirmed it this week, and frankly, he didn’t sound too broken up about it. The reason? Winkelmann put it bluntly: EV development was becoming “an expensive hobby.”

    EV dream runs out of charge

    And when your hobby involves billion-dollar research and development budgets, along with a customer base that basically doesn’t want the thing you’re spending the money on, it’s time to put down the soldering iron.

    Instead of going all-electric, Lamborghini will pivot to plug-in hybrids (PHEVs) across its entire lineup by 2030. The Lanzador itself will reportedly be reborn as a PHEV — which, to be fair, might actually be a better fit for a brand whose identity is wrapped up in the sound and fury of a roaring V10 or V12.

    EVs, Winkelmann admitted, “struggle to deliver this specific emotional connection.” Translation: a silent Lamborghini is basically just an expensive golf cart.

    Industry-wide reality check

    The numbers back him up. The “acceptance curve” for battery-powered cars among Lamborghini’s wealthy clientele is, in his words, “close to zero.” Meanwhile, the company just had its best year ever — delivering a record 10,747 cars in 2025, with its PHEV lineup of the Urus, Temerario, and Revuelto doing all the heavy lifting.

    Lamborghini isn’t alone in this rethink.

    Stellantis just ate a $26 billion charge to ditch some EV models, and Ford wrote down nearly $20 billion on its EV plans. The electric gold rush, at least in the luxury supercar space, appears to be on pause.

    Never say never on a Lamborghini EV, though — Winkelmann himself used that exact phrase. But for now, if you’re hoping to buy a silent raging bull, you’ll have to wait.

    To make cheating harder, Marathon will run on authoritative dedicated servers that control key gameplay actions like combat, looting, and movement. Additional systems, like Fog of War, will limit the information shared with players and reduce the effectiveness of common cheats such as wall hacks or loot revealers.

    Bungie states clearly that “anyone found to be cheating or developing cheats will be permanently banned from playing Marathon forever, no second chances.” This zero-tolerance policy differs from other games that allow multiple infractions before more serious consequences.

    Bungie acknowledges that no anti-cheat system is perfect and says it will maintain an appeals process for players who believe they were wrongly flagged. The company is also using analytics to monitor gameplay for unusual patterns and anomalies that could indicate cheating.

    With Marathon’s “Server Slam” open preview weekend approaching, and the game scheduled for wide release next month, players will soon be able to put these security tools to the test firsthand.

    Marathon is a competitive extraction shooter set on the world of Tau Ceti IV, where players hunt for loot and battle both opponents and environmental threats.

    It was last year’s iPhone 17 series that got the first major upgrade.
