Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A man who spent Rs 80 lakh on his girlfriend filed a police complaint when she denied to maintain the relationship. The man approached police to recover his amount from his girlfriend. The Rewa police registered an FIR on Wednesday.
An unusual case was reported in Rewa where a hotel owner approached police carrying details of his expenditure incurred on his girlfriend and sought help to recover the amount. Rewa SP Vivek Singh said businessman Vivek Shukla had filed a complaint to the police.
After preliminary investigation, the claims of man were found true and based on the facts, an FIR was registered against woman. In the complaint, he mentioned that he had given Rs 22 lakh, iPhones, costly watches, footwear, purse and many other items to her. He also produced details of bank transactions, bills of gifts and other items before the police. Vivek told police that he had tried to contest Assembly election 2023 as an independent candidate but withdrew it later.
Meanwhile, he came in contact with a woman who is niece of former MLA. The woman promised him that she would give him opportunity in politics. Later, they came closer. The SP added that family of the woman had also filed complaint against Vivek Shukla and has demanded to investigate the case against him. The family has also given documents related to their claims. The police are investigating the case.
