New Delhi: The counting of votes for the Delhi Assembly Elections is to begin shortly. Rohini comes under the Northwest Delhi district of Delhi State. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and the Congress are the main parties in the state. BJP’s sitting MLA, Vijender Gupta, has represented Rohini for 10 years and has been the leader of the opposition in the outgoing assembly. He will be trying his luck to make a hattrick this time, while AAP’s Pradeep Mittal, is standing strong to turn the winds in his favour. The national capital recorded a 59.71 percent voter turnout in the Assembly elections amid accusations of malpractices, including money distribution and fake voting. This was lower than the 62.59 percent turnout in 2020 when AAP secured 62 of the 70 seats, while BJP won eight and Congress failed to secure any. Exit polls by Zeenia, Zee News’ AI-powered news anchor, indicate a close contest between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). According to numbers released by Zeenia, the Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP will get 33 to 38 seats, while the BJP will secure 31 to 36 seats in the Delhi Assembly. Exit polls released by AAP Matrize suggest that the Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP will get 32 to 37 seats while the BJP secures 35 to 40 seats in the Delhi Assembly.
