Video: BJP MLA Siddhartha Bhattacharya Engages In Fistfight Over Car Parking Issue | Pratidin Times

A fight erupted outside former Assam cabinet minister and present BJP MLA Siddhartha Bhattacharya’s residence in Guwahati’s Bora Service area after a man tried to park his car in front of the gate. The MLA argued with the man for around 40 minutes over the car parking issue and engaged in a dramatic fistfight. Visuals from the incident have surfaced online.

The incident happened on Monday when a car was parked in front of Bhattacharya’s gate, irking the MLA and causing him to trigger a fight.

In the video, recorded by a bystander, Bhattacharya was seen furiously charging at a man who parked his vehicle ahead of his residence’s gate. He was seen angrily beating up the man.

A report by Pratidin Time, a local news channel, suggested that the heated altercation broke out after a youth named Kumar parked his vehicle in front of MLA Bhattacharya’s house gate. The media outlet pointed out that the fight continued for nearly 40 minutes until locals intervened to stop it.

So far, Bhattacharya hasn’t commented on the issue. There are no statements by him regarding the fight that broke out outside his residence either on news channels or his social media pages.

However, the clip is being widely circulated online and going viral.

Bhattacharya is currently the MLA of East Guwahati and he has previously served as the Cabinet Minister of Law and Justice in the Government of Assam, He is also the former national spokesperson of BJP Assam.
