Seven sitting MLAs of the Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) have resigned ahead of the upcoming Delhi Assembly Elections 2025.

Delhi Assembly Elections 2025: In a major jolt to the incumbent Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), seven sitting MLAs of the Arvind Kejriwal-led party have resigned ahead of the upcoming Delhi elections. According to reports, seven AAP MLAs, who were denied tickets for the upcoming Delhi assembly polls and excluded from the party’s candidate list, have quit.

The sitting MLAs who resigned from AAP are; Palam MLA Bhavna Gaur, Naresh Yadav from Mehrauli, Rajesh Rishi from Janakpuri, Madan Lal from Kasturba Nagar, Rohit Mehrauliya from Trilokpuri, B.S. June from Bijwasan, and Pawan Sharma from Adarsh Nagar, as per a report by ABP News.

Meanwhile, AAP on Friday launched its ‘Bachat Patra’ to highlight the financial benefits of the schemes brought by his party’s government.

Speaking at the event, AAP supremo and former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal claimed that every household in the national capital saves an average of Rs 25,000 a month due to the AAP government’s welfare schemes and if the party returns to power, its new initiatives will add another Rs 10,000 to people’s savings, party supremo Arvind Kejriwal said on Friday.

“Our volunteers will reach out to people and get them to fill the ‘Bachat Patra’ in which they will note how much they are saving through our free welfare initiatives,” Kejriwal said.

Delhi goes to polls on February 5 and the results will be announced on February 8.
