Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A constable from the Sixth Battalion was found hanging in Madhya Pradesh’s Bhopal on Friday night. He was reportedly under financial stress due to loans. The police recovered loan-related documents from his home, but no suicide note was found.

The man was married for seven years and had a six-year-old son. His second child was due soon. Police confirmed that there were no disputes between the couple. His mobile phone has been seized for further investigation.

Originally from Dehi village in Dhar district, 35-year-old Bhur Singh Jamod was stationed in the Sixth Battalion in Bhopal and lived in Nehru Nagar police quarters. Recently, he was on attachment duty at the Chief Minister’s residence.

Police sources stated that loan-related documents were found in his home. His family and acquaintances also mentioned that he was under financial pressure. However, since no suicide note was recovered, the exact reason for his death remains unclear.

Wife Was Sent to Maternal Home for Delivery

Jamod’s wife is pregnant, and he had sent her to her maternal home a few days ago for the delivery. The police have started an investigation, registering a case under procedural death inquiry. After the post-mortem on Saturday afternoon, the body was handed over to the family.
