A disturbing conspiracy targeting religious minorities has come to light in Chattogram district of Bangladesh, raising serious concerns about the safety of Hindu and Buddhist communities in the region.

According to a report by The Sunday Guardian, a poster recovered from Raozan upazila in Chattogram claims that a plan was made to kill nearly two lakh people of the Hindu and Buddhist communities on 13th December, 2025. The poster also says that funds were arranged to carry out the mass killings, suggesting a well-organised and pre-planned conspiracy.

Kushal Barun Chakraborty, a representative of the Bangladeshi Sammilita Sanatani Jagran Jote, said the banner was taken away by the police after it was discovered. Quoting the contents of the poster, Chakraborty said, “The police took the banner with them.”

It read that: ‘On 13th December, 2025, a plan was hatched and funding was provided to implement this plan. The plan and funding were aimed at killing a total of two lakh followers of the Hindu and Buddhist communities in Raozan subdistrict of Chittagong. No sign of the Hindu and Buddhist communities will be left in Raozan, they will not be allowed to remain’. The message warned that no trace of these communities would be allowed to remain in the area.

He also spoke about the recent killings of Hindus in Bangladesh and said that attacks on Hindus have continued. “First, Dipu Chandra Das was lynched in Mymensingh and now, another Hindu youngster, Amrit Mondal, has been killed. While the government and the police have termed him a criminal, the question is, how did a Muslim man who was arrested remain alive while Mondal, a Hindu, get killed?,” he asked.

Chakraborty said the language of the poster clearly showed an intention to systematically target Hindus and Buddhists. He added that recent incidents in the area point towards the seriousness of the threat and stressed the need for a fair and independent investigation into the matter.

The poster was found in the same locality where several Hindu homes were set on fire in recent days. During their investigation, police also recovered kerosene-soaked cloth pieces from the sites of arson. Handwritten notes were found as well, containing names and mobile numbers of political leaders and administrative officials.

Police have seized the poster and other materials and have begun an investigation to verify the claims and identify those behind the conspiracy. The incident has sparked fear among minority communities in the region, who are now demanding strong action and protection from the authorities as the probe continues.
