Ubisoft has changed its stance on Assassin’s Creed Shadows and has now confirmed that the game will be supported on Steam Deck at launch. Previously, the company had stated that the game wouldn’t be available on Valve’s handheld console, but a recent update suggests otherwise.
Ubisoft made the announcement on X, confirming Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be playable on Steam Deck from day one. However, the game is still awaiting Valve’s official certification, so there could be some minor optimizations before launch.
While this is exciting news for handheld gaming fans, it’s worth noting that Assassin’s Creed Shadows will likely run on the lowest settings due to Steam Deck’s hardware limitations. Gamers are also curious to know whether the game will support AMD FSR 4.
Ubisoft’s creative director, Jonathan Dumont, has also shared details about the game’s length, including the main campaign and additional side content, though exact numbers haven’t been revealed yet.
The game is set to launch on March 20, 2025, and will also be available on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Mac. It is already available for pre-order on Steam:
- Base Game – ₹4,899
- Digital Deluxe Edition – ₹6,299
