Team India seamer Arshdeep Singh poked fun at Mohammed Siraj after the latter’s inspired spell of bowling on day three of the second Test against England at Edgbaston. With Siraj claiming numerous times that he believes in Jassi bhai, Arshdeep cheekily said there’s a change in script now as it will now be ‘I believe in myself and Jassi bhai’

With Jasprit Bumrah rested from the Edgbaston Test, Siraj put his hand up to deliver an inspired spell of bowling on a docile surface. Following his wicket of Zak Crawley on day two, the 31-year-old nipped out Joe Root and Ben Stokes in back-to-back deliveries to put England on the backfoot. Later, he returned to mop up England’s tail quickly to finish with figures of 19.3-3-70-6, giving India a 180-run lead.

Speaking in a video uploaded by the Indian team’s account on Instagram, Arshdeep said:

“I only believe in myself and Jassi bhai. Aaj dialogue mein change hai. Plan mein halka sa change hai. I believe in myself and Jassi bhai.” (I only believe in myself and Jassi bhai. There’s a slight change in dialogue and plans. I believe in myself and Jassi bhai)
