Akshaya Tritiya, also known as Akha Teej, is a highly auspicious Hindu and Jain festival celebrated in India. It falls on the third lunar day of the bright half of the month of Vaisakha (April–May). The word ‘Akshaya’ means eternal or never diminishing, symbolising everlasting prosperity, good fortune, and success.

Traditionally, people buy gold, begin new ventures, and perform charitable acts on this day, believing that any good deed will bring lasting rewards. It is also associated with Lord Vishnu and the beginning of the Treta Yuga. Akshaya Tritiya is a time for spiritual renewal and abundance.
