Bharti Airtel has launched a new service that delivers SIM cards to customers in just 10 minutes. The telecom giant has partnered with Blinkit, the quick commerce platform known for grocery delivery, to make this happen. This is the first time a telecom provider in India has introduced such a fast SIM delivery service. Right now, it is available in 16 cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai.

The process is simple. Customers can order a new SIM—prepaid or postpaid—and even switch to Airtel using Mobile Number Portability (MNP). The SIM card will be delivered to their doorstep for a small convenience fee of ₹49.
Once the SIM is delivered, activation is done using Aadhaar-based eKYC. Airtel also provides an online link and a video to guide users through the activation steps. This makes the entire process smooth and almost completely digital.

Support is also available. Existing customers can use the Airtel Thanks app, while new users can reach out to a dedicated helpline. One thing to remember—the SIM must be activated within 15 days of delivery.

Where the service is available:

  • Delhi
  • Mumbai
  • Bengaluru
  • Hyderabad
  • Chennai
  • Pune
  • Ahmedabad
  • Surat
  • Bhopal
  • Indore
  • Lucknow
  • Jaipur
  • Kolkata
  • Gurgaon
  • Faridabad
  • Sonipat

Airtel says it will soon expand this service to more cities and towns.

This is a smart and timely move by Airtel. As more services go digital and instant, mobile connections needed an upgrade too. People often face long wait times for new SIMs or porting to another network. This new service cuts that down to minutes.

By teaming up with Blinkit, Airtel is tapping into a network that already understands speed and hyperlocal delivery. It also shows how quick commerce is evolving—from groceries to now telecom services.
