Indore (Madhya Pradesh): After five years, the long-pending College Council Committee meeting was held on Sunday under the newly appointed dean of Mahatma Gandhi Memorial (MGM) Medical College Dr Arvind Ghanghoria.
In the absence of the committee meetings, coordination among various departments had been severely affected. Taking cognizance of the issue, Dr Ghanghoria promptly convened a meeting which included superintendents of all associated institutions, heads of departments from the college and hospitals and administrative staff.
During the meeting, Dr Ghanghoria interacted with department heads and employees to understand their problems, such as shortage of supplies, procedural complexities, lack of coordination, administrative difficulties, employees’ grievances, delays in documentation and issues with equipment and maintenance. He emphasized the need for better communication, streamlined processes and a patient-centric approach. In his address, Dr Ghanghoria urged all staff members to remain dedicated and committed to their responsibilities.
He also stressed the importance of cleanliness, timely execution of tasks and effective implementation of government welfare schemes to benefit the most vulnerable sections of society. He prioritized patient welfare, ensuring timely availability of medicines, doctors’ presence and faster treatment. Additionally, he encouraged departments to upgrade themselves with modern technology and advanced medical equipment.
