The victim’s body was found with multiple stab wounds and a scarf tied around the neck near the Munak Canal on July 1, police said.

A shocking crime has come to light in Delhi’s Haiderpur area. Police say an eighth‑member gang—four adults and four minors, kidnapped a 14‑year‑old boy, stabbed him repeatedly, and threw his naked body into the Munak Canal.
What Happened
- The boy, who lived in Jeevan Park, Siraspur, was grabbed near Veer Chowk late on the night of June 29–30.
- The kidnappers gagged him with a scarf, stripped off his clothes, took turns stabbing him many times, and dumped his body in the canal.
- On July 1, around 3:10 p.m., a passer‑by saw the body near a Delhi Jal Board water plant and called police.
Why police believe he was targeted
One suspect, Krishna (19)—also known as Bhola—had been beaten up last year by two local criminals, Monu and Sonu. Krishna wrongly believed the 14‑year‑old had tipped those men off and wanted revenge. Over several weeks, Krishna and seven friends planned the killing, police say.

Next Steps
