Here are signs you should watch out for a cardiac arrest that could possibly save a life
The person may suddenly fall to the ground and become unresponsive. They won’t react if you shake them or call their name
Breathing stops completely or becomes gasping, irregular, or very shallow (called agonal breathing)
You won’t be able to feel a pulse (at the neck or wrist), but don’t waste time trying for too long-start CPR if unresponsive and not breathing normally
Sometimes, there are warning symptoms minutes or hours before:
Severe chest pain or pressure or pain radiating to the arm, neck, or jaw
The person may feel faint, dizzy, or lightheaded right before losing consciousness.
