Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): Four drunk men allegedly beat a waiter and vandalised property after refusing to pay the bill at a hotel on Dabra Bypass Highway on Saturday.

The entire incident was captured on the CCTV camera installed inside the hotel. In the footage, one man can be seen smashing plates and throwing everything off the table. Then, another man enters, argues with the waiter, and starts beating him badly.

They tried to escape by blaming the food and service quality.

According to information, the incident took place at Range Punjab Hotel on Dabra Bypass Highway late at night after the waiter asked the group to pay the bill. They started arguing, instead.

According to the victim, Jaideep Vanshkar who was the waiter at the hotel, the group complained about delayed service and then refused to pay the bill.

When he insisted, they started arguing, broke plates and chairs, damaged the counter, and slapped him multiple times.

The accused—Anshul Modi, Arvind Rawat, Rajendra Rawat, and Deepak Rawat—were identified through CCTV footage. Police have arrested Anshul Modi, while the other three are still on the run.

Jaideep also said that the accused threatened to kill him when he went to the police station.

Police confirmed that caste-based slurs were used and have registered a case under assault charges and the SC/ST Act.
