Sony has announced that it is ending its PlayStation Stars loyalty program. As of today, new users can no longer sign up. If you cancel your membership now, you will not be able to rejoin later.
PlayStation Stars members can still earn points, digital collectibles, and level up until July 23 at 9:59 PM ET. After that, all rewards and campaigns will stop. The program will be fully discontinued on November 2, 2025.
If you stay in the program until the end, you will still be able to redeem your points after it ends, as long as your points are not expired.
Sony first launched PlayStation Stars in 2022. The program rewarded players for playing games and buying items from the PlayStation Store. Members could earn points and use them to get PSN wallet credit or selected products.
Now, Sony says it wants to refocus its approach to rewards, though it has not shared any specific plans. In a message on the PlayStation Blog, Sony said, “We want to thank all of our players for supporting PlayStation Stars since the launch in 2022. As we explore new ways to evolve our loyalty program efforts for the future, we’ll continue to celebrate all of our players through the various community activities we have planned.”
If you are a member, make sure to use your points before they expire. This is the last chance to get something back from the PlayStation Stars program before it goes away for good.
