Over 6,000 notebooks were donated for underprivileged and tribal students to mark the birthday of Dr. Sanjeev Naik, former Member of Parliament from Thane and senior BJP leader, on April 15.

Instead of the usual offerings of flowers, garlands, or gifts, Dr. Naik urged his supporters to contribute to education. “The fragrance of a bouquet lasts for a short while, but this donation in the form of notebooks will leave a lasting impact on the education of thousands of students,” he said in his message.

The call was met with an enthusiastic response across Thane, Navi Mumbai, Mira-Bhayandar, and other parts of Maharashtra, where citizens, well-wishers, and party workers came forward in large numbers to support the initiative.

The notebook donation drive was part of a larger set of socially impactful programs organized to commemorate the occasion. These included blood donation camps, free health check-ups, distribution of educational materials, honoring senior citizens and academically meritorious students, as well as cleanliness drives in several communities.

Thousands of citizens benefited from these community service activities, which were widely appreciated for their meaningful and long-term societal impact. Dr. Naik’s birthday thus became a platform for fostering a culture of service, education, and public welfare.
