The Indian Defence Force has inducted powerful SUV Force Gurkha in its fleet. The Force Motors informed that it has received an order for 2,978 Gurkha SUVs from the Indian Defence Force. The automobile company stated that the SUVs, which are proficient in off-roading, will be included in the fleet of both Indian Army and the Indian Air Force. Notably, this SUV is equipped with the capabilities of a mission ready vehicle.
It is worth noting that, the Force Motors has been serving the Indian Army for several years with its Gurkha LSV (Light Strike Vehicle). The Force Gurkha has been designed specially for off-road use. This SUV has superior off-road capabilities, including high ground clearance, water fording ability, and a robust four-wheel drive system. It’s designed to handle diverse terrains, from deserts to mountains.
Powerful Engine and Power
Force Gurkha is available in two body forms, the first is a 3-door and the second is a 5-door model. Both models have 2.6-liter turbocharged inter-cooled diesel engine. This engine churns out a maximum power of 138 bhp and a peak torque of 320 nm. Both models have a 5-speed manual gearbox and 4×4 capability. The vehicle gets a front and rear locking differential for excellent off-roading.
