WhatsApp is working on a new feature that will make conversations more organized—threaded message replies. This update, currently in development, will be available for chats, groups, communities, and channels once it’s ready.
With threaded replies, responses to a message will stay grouped together. This will make it easier to follow conversations without getting lost in a flood of messages. IN busy group chats where lots of people are actively participating, threaded replies will be helpful.
Wabetainfo first spotted it and reported how this feature will work. Unlike Reddit, where threads appear right below the original message, WhatsApp will require users to tap on a reply to open the thread. Now, it will be interesting to see if users like this approach.
Since the feature is currently under development and is being tested, we cannot confirm when it will be launched.
